Girl Next Door – a Pole Dance Soirée Returns to King King Hollywood for Spring 2011 Season

Los Angeles, CA (February 15, 2011) – Girl Next Door – A Pole Dance Soirée, a monthly production that combines the sensuality of pole dance with the fanciful medium of theater, returns to King King Hollywood this March for the Spring 2011 season. Featuring some of the country’s top-ranked pole performers, Girl Next Door is Los Angeles’ first-ever and longest-running artistic pole dance revue. The Spring 2011 season kicks off March 6^th and promises more scintillating storylines, aerial acrobatics and a new cast of talent who will redefine your perceptions of pole dance.

Girl Next Door – a Pole Dance Soirée is the brainchild of producer, director and pole dancer Kelly Yvonne of Vin’yet Productions. This show explores the sensual side of the everyday woman, as the cast’s professional backgrounds range from electrical engineer to school teacher, publicist to business owner and everything in between. Each performer brings a unique character to the stage, taking audiences on a sensual journey through a series of performance vignettes featuring a variety of aerial apparatuses, including pole, lyra, tissu, trapeze and chandalyra.

The 2011 cast – the largest ever at 23 performers – includes the 2009 and 2010 USPDF West Coast Champions, 2009’s USPDF Amateur Champion, 1^st and 2^nd place winners of the 2010 California Pole Dance Championships and 2010’s APFA Pole Artist of the Year.

This season also marks the return of celebrity guest choreographers, trainers and special performances from Loriel Hennington (Burlesque The Movie, Forty Deuce, Usher), Donyelle Jones (So You Think You Can Dance Season 2 finalist), and Cati Jean (L’effleur des Sens, Kylie Minogue, Carrie Underwood, Jessica Biel/Powder Blue). X-Pole, worldwide leaders in pole fitness, returns as a 2011 sponsor.
