Meet The Director
Director | Producer | Creator
Girl Next Door – a Pole Dance Soirée is the brainchild of producer, director and pole dancer Kelly Yvonne of Vin’yet Productions. She launched the show in December 2009 after only 3 months of pole training. Today, she continues to train, as well as choreograph and coach award-winning pole dancers for shows, exhibitions and competitions around the world.

DANCE AND PRODUCTION RESUME
Kelly Yvonne began her dancing career at the age of 13 and danced competitively throughout high school. She attended the University of California, Berkeley and received her Bachelor of Arts in Architecture, with a minor in City and Regional Planning and Modern Dance. Amid her studies, she continued to perform as both a dancer and choreographer for the Cal Dance Team and the NBA’s Golden State Warriors Dance Team.
After graduation, she moved to Los Angeles where she danced and choreographed for the NBA’s Los Angeles Clippers Spirit Dance Team. She also choreographed routines for the NBA’s Portland Trailblazers’ Dance Team as well as several nationally-ranked collegiate, high school and all-star performance groups. As a member of the Clippers Spirit Dance Team, she had the privilege of performing with artists, such as Beyoncé and Andre 300.
In 2004, Kelly Yvonne was selected to be a scholarship student at Debbie Reynolds Dance Studio in North Hollywood, CA. This rigorous dance curriculum consisted of 40 hours of training per week in a variety of genres, including ballet, modern, jazz, african, hip hop, poppin and much more! Through this program she honed her performance skills and expanded her repertoire of dance techniques.
Due to an injury, Kelly Yvonne turned her attention to the behind-the-scenes aspects of performing arts and created Vin’yet Productions, a Los Angeles-based entertainment production company, in the Summer of 2005. She soon began producing and directing a variety of shows including art exhibits, concerts, film festivals, fashion shows and, most recently, an artistic pole dance showcase.
In 2009 she started pole dancing for the fitness potential and, at the time, had retired from professional dancing. Ultimately (and unintentionally) pole dancing revived her performing career!
To date, she has choreographed numerous award-winning routines for professional pole dancers, including Natasha Wang (2010 USPDF West Coast Champion, California Pole Dance Championship and Tri-Pole Challenge 1st Place Winner); and Amber Richard (2010 APFA Pole Artist of the Year).
Ultimately, Kelly Yvonne is a creative problem-solver eager to collaborate with the movers and shakers of Los Angeles and elsewhere! She fuses her architectural design background with her love for performing arts to create unique and dynamic live shows. Girl Next Door – a pole dance soirée is a culmination of this tireless, yet rewarding effort.
